Shape a wooden spoon from start to finish 🪵 in this hands-on class. You’ll learn safe knife skills, how to read the grain, and simple finishing techniques while working with green wood. This class combines traditional techniques and learning to use the creative process to select a section of wood with more modern tools to speed up the process of creating your own wooden spoon.
No experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Together, we’ll slow down and connect as we carry forward everyday folk craft in community. 🧰
Bring work gloves if you wish and carving tools if you have them (though not necessary).
Taught by Robert Fisher, experienced carpenter and woodworker
